Welcome to Pack 153 !

The Cub Scout motto is, "Always Do Your Best!" and our pack is centered around that foundation. We are also very family focused, most of our pack events are open to the scout's immediate family so that scouts is not taking away from valuable family time. We encourage our boys to be active in their schools, community, and sports teams. As such, Den Leaders work with boys that need to miss meetings for other extra-curricular activities. Pack 153 is chartered by Assumption BVM Church in Feasterville, PA.

17-18 Pack t-shirt!

Posted on Oct 17 2017 - 10:21am
Attached is the order form for the 17-18 Pack t-shirt!

Each registered scout will receive a shirt included with their registration fee.
Additional shirts may be ordered for adults.  It is nice for the adults to wear the shirts on trips, parades and other activities when the "field" uniform is being worn by the scouts.

Orders are due on October 20th at the pack meeting.  You can email me your order or bring the form to the meeting.  ***Please don not just verbally tell me or the leaders your order.  It must be done on the order form!)

I can not accept late orders.  If I do not have a form for your scout, I will need to guesstimate a size for them!

Campout at October Pack meeting

Posted on Oct 16 2017 - 5:38pm
Hello Everyone.  I hope everyone has been having fun and working hard on their adventures so far. I wanted to take a moment to tell you about the October Pack Meeting that will be held on Friday, 10/20 starting at 7pm at Assumption.  This meeting will be a, weather permitting, outdoor campfire with a camp-out on Assumption's lawn afterward.  This is to give some our less experienced campers (scouts and parents alike) a chance to try it out and still be close to home.  We will also have a setup with some of our camping gear so that you can get familiar with some of the equipment you will likely see on a camping trip and how it is used.

For those of you who do not have tents, Boy Scout Troop 153 has agreed to lend tents to any family that would like to borrow one.  The camp-out will take place, rain or shine unless the weather is supposed to be extreme.  Please keep an eye on the weather and bring heavy enough sleeping bags or enough blankets to keep warm for the night.  The church will remain open all night for use of the bathrooms or if you to move inside in case of bad weather.  We will not be providing breakfast in the morning as would like to keep this a free event but you are welcome to bring something to eat if you would like to do so before leaving.  Below is a list of items you may want to bring.

Camping items
-  Change of clothes
-  Sleeping Bag or Blankets
-  Pillow
-  Toothbrush/Toothpaste
-  Flashlight
-  Outerwear appropriate for the weather
-  Camp or folding chair (you will need this for the campfire)
-  Tent (if you have one)

I am looking forward to seeing the songs or skits that each of the dens have prepared and I'll be sure to bring a couple of my own.  I hope you are all as excited about this Pack meeting as I am.  I can't wait to see you all there!  If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to reach out to your den leader or myself.

Family Scouting coming 2018

Posted on Oct 11 2017 - 10:32pm

Starting in the 2018 program year, families can choose to sign up their sons and daughters for Cub Scouts. Existing packs may choose to establish a new girl pack, establish a pack that consists of girl dens and boy dens or remain an all-boy pack. Cub Scout dens will be single-gender — all boys or all girls.
